It's bacon in candy form! Here is my infamous, yet super easy, candied bacon recipe. You are going to blow every bacon lovers mind with this one...guaranteed! For every package of bacon you are going to use: 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp cinnamon (optional) For my Coconut Curry Bacon Candy: 1 cup brown sugar 2 Tbs curry powder 2 Tbs dried shredded coconut Other fun additions are 1 Tbs Chinese Five Spice or 1 Tbs Pumpkin Pie Spice. These kinda happened by accident. I saw someone make a heart out of raw bacon on Pintrest and it looked cute so I thought I'd try it out. I've been making candied bacon for years now, (that's actually why I started The Sticky Pig), and wanted to see if I could have a go at making bacon candy hearts myself. And holy-bacon-sugar-delicousness-moly did they come out well! We love to have a little fun with our bacon candy and in honor of Valentine's Day we decided to do a little naughty and sexy fun photo shoot to celebrate our newest Specialty Flavor for the month of February. Her name is Aphrodite, after the goddess of beauty, love and sexual pleasure, of course. She is a bacon treat filled with sweet balsamic glazed strawberries and lemon curd with a hint of fresh basil all covered in rich milk chocolate and decorated with a beautiful candied (and edible!) rose petal.
